You’re just an imitation of what is around you, its just that you don’t imitate one person; you take bits and pieces of hundred people and make yourself
I was small when my mum always had a concern of all the tiny heads which would flock in our house to play, laugh, complete homework and enjoy the best days of life. It wasn’t the mess we created in and around that dreaded her, it was the children coming home, their upbringing and their culture in which they were brought which was her concern! She was very keen on choosing the right people as friends and I always had a grudge as to its okay whosoever they are! I just play with them and will not be influenced with any of their habits! But then entering the house without a brief introduction of my friends was next to impossible!
Now when I started analysing things myself and knowing the psychology behind her worried eyes, I totally agree to her! You are known by the company you keep! Not because it’s a saying! But because your brain constantly snaps images of the attitudes – be it good or bad of all the people you surround with. These small snaps taken slowly and steadily start throwing impression on our personality! And to be checked out in practise – take an example if your boss is in a grumpy mood and you happen to be the target point as soon as you have taken your seat early morning. You are thrashed and abused in hard words in front of a few colleagues, later you take the same grumpy vibes to the cafeteria which is simply carried ahead to your kids waiting back home. So, you see, you gradually become the way you receive vibes! You read a positive quote and you are all filled with motivation. Atleast for the next few days you work with a new energy and focus!
So, it’s simple – I vibe, your vibe… WE VIBE. Be surrounded with positive people, the optimistic ones, those which send you a positive energy! Those who allow you to be a little better than your best version
Did you confess your love to the one you just stared at through the lectures? Did you approach the one whom you have secretly been admiring since weeks and months? Did you express yourself to the one whose one glimpse makes you feel chills in the spine?
Today I would rather like to share my view on the same topic – Expressing love and gratitude!
Guys, do you realize that having a crush is rather easy then collecting the guts to go and express things! It is really a tedious task (of course if you mean your feelings for a lifetime which a rare scenario in today’s time) to confess your feelings to someone whom you look forward to spend a life with. It is like you need to pour the entire pot of feelings in a tiny bottle. Is this article something like – “5 ways to express your love” or “Tips to successful proposal”? Naah, not at all. The next few paragraphs will just tell you how important it is to express yourself, not only that first ever time in life! But that every single time when it is possible to show your care and concern in any relationship.
No one can read other person’s mind each and every time, so don’t be unrealistic to assume things that the person will realize things in an implicit manner and that there’s no need to be expressive in nature! You may love a person very dearly but let your words and your actions mean the same. Let your presence make the person feel a sense of security and warmth.
Expressing for one time doesn’t mean it has an life time effect. You need to be there in times of need, you need to reach out to the person adjusting your problems, you need to be understanding and supportive if you really mean when you say someone is your FOREVER.
Falling in love with a face is easiest job, falling for a soul is something like time taking
Expressing your love is an easy affair, but meaning it for a lifetime is more of hard efforts
And equally important – signing the Archies cards as “my forever and always” is as simple as scribbling ABCD of rough paper but meaning that always and forever is like painting the canvas colorful without colors!
Principles in life are very important! They help you survive when you are hit hard by tough situations; they help you make right decisions and in setting your priorities in life, especially in this fast-changing world which is full of uncertainties. Ira ki Kahaniyan is the author’s attempt to share his life’s principles in the form of poetry. Since the book is aimed at educating children, the author reinforces the importance of hard work, relationships, friendship, good health, living in the moment, education, equality, power of dreams, importance of karma, festivals, patriotism, environment and gratitude through a wise little girl, Ira.
One more reason why I am including this book in my blogs is that the author has decided to share all its proceeds (from book sale) with CRY (Child relief and You). To aid its sales, I want this to reach out to schools, libraries, children’s centers catering to diverse segments of children in addition to your own circle of friends and family. This fun-filled unique book of wisdom, will help storytelling by teachers, enhance reading competency in children and make all involved fall in love with ideas and words!
I was just glancing through few temples and their assets in India! And the numbers were quite shocking! Well, temples like Padmanabhaswamy temple, Tirupati Balaji, Siddhivinayak Temple, Shirdi Sai Baba are few among the top 10 riches which earn more than private company having a mid-sized unit was what I realzied. On reading a few articles and a little of research I was fascinated by few interesting facts like business men enter into blind partnership with Lord Venkateshwara and actually share the profit percentage with the temple!
Not at all to hurt the religious thoughts and sentiments of anyone who believe in God, because I too believe in Him. But there is difference in belief and blind belief. How does it make a difference by the Idol of god wearing kilos and kilos of gold, crowned with the sparkling diamonds, shining in the extra ordinary glitter of all sort of precious stones available on Planet Earth?
To be precise and throw light on a question, Have we made religion a business module? Have we made traditions sources of earning profits?
Actually tracking to the huge amounts of black money donated in Hundis of temples, it actually is the best line with highest returns! Investments being simple marketing and scaring people in the name of God!
My views on this are really very simple and can be summed up in a single quote!
Service to man is Service to God!
Instead of showering so much gold and jewelry on the Idols, let it be donated to his children who actually need it for their schooling or may be their daily bread!
This week end there is a small assignment for all of us!
Just name all things, people or a task that you love to do, that gives you an inner satisfaction! That makes you feel like “Oh God, I wish the day would have one extra hour…
Once you are done jotting down all this roughly, just note to yourself where do you rank your own self as a person with whom you are happy or where do you prioritize spending time with your self or simply being quiet and unfurling the unspoken words of your own heart??
And I am sure most of us wont even have this component in our list! The list will mostly sound like People whom I love – My Parents or My siblings, or may be a childhood friend or my husband etc.
Things which I love list will have my car, my house, my clothes and all the possible materialistic things
Tasks that I love will might have family time, movie with friends, dinner date with my love and so on and so forth!
I can not deny of course that all these are important but then once in the fast run, stop to look at yourself. Just wait to hear the unsaid. Understand the silence of your heart and value your presence!
Let us all just spend this Sunday with our self, may be doing the things we love as a person, not to please anyone other than the one whom you face every morning in the mirror and simply make it look beautiful externally!!
