That old man….

Few morning sunshine have so much in them to teach you, they have so much to display that the teachings are as bright as the sun itself!

Something same happened this morning, with all cleaning stuff at home before Diwali there was lot of things which were old and to be scrapped out! Of course, the two factors – one being Indian and second being a middle-class Marwari family – the scrap was not just waste it was to be sold to the scrap seller and that was my so-called hard-earned money after all the cleaning done! (I hope a few of you can relate to me!)
Dad, has been selling scrap to an old man since last 12-15 years and he too very religiously comes to our place every Diwali in that tone “Sahib, Diwali ki Saaf-Safaai huyi ya naahi abtak? (Sir, is the Diwali cleaning done, so that he could collect the scrap) This time too he came, this old man nearly in his late 70s was so very active to pick up the heavy boxes filled with books which I could not even lift from my room to the outer corridor of my house, he picked all the papers, the cardboards, all the tins, plastic and was ready with the all calculations done. He handed over the money to me and left.

The incidence was done, but that old wrinkled face, tired watery eyes, the chapped lips, the sweaty skin covered with an old patchy shirt (but which was very clean), a little weary chappal which was stitched at the ends was all just haunting me with so much inspiration! Though he wasn’t having a very luxurious life or an AC cabin for his job, he did wear a beautiful smile. He never had an sports class car instead it was just a cart which he had to push the entire day long even when the sun showed its cruelty with those high flames! Nor did he have a branded pair of shoes or something which he could flaunt off!

But then he had something which most of us lack today even in our business class cars, wearing a Rado in one hand and eyes peeping out from corner of a brand-new gold-plated Ray-Ban – he had honesty and satisfaction of what he was doing, he wore a smile and was contended with what he did.

While collecting the scrap he said something very beautiful to me, “Didi, mehnat ka kama ke khaaye bina neend naahi aavat hai, aaj tak kabhi bhi kisi se be-imaani naahi kare hai hum (in that typical accent of his) (Which simply meant, Didi, there is no peace to sleep without working hard and earning money, till date I haven’t ever cheated anyone in my job)
So beautifully he taught me to earn as much as you deserve, as much as your hard work deserves gives you a sense of satisfaction. The morning will inspire me for lifetime to be honest and sincere in whatever one does!! If I am not wrong the teachings of Islam rightly say “Aaram ka paisa haram hai”

So, what I learnt was

  • Be satisfied in whatever you do, life has it own way to surprise you, hard work never goes unpaid!
  • Keep smiling, life observes you every single minute!
  • And lastly, be honest in whatever you do!

Smile and spread smiles. Get inspired and spread the vibes! Happy morning guys!

Dassera…

Just read something very beautiful and thought of sharing it!!!!

अजीब बात है….रावण जलाने के लिये पहले उसे बनाना पडता है।

Meaning:

It actually is such an weird or strange sort of thing that to burn the Ravan we first need to make it

(PS – Ravan is an evil character in Indian mythology who was killed by Lord Rama on Eve of Dassera. And as an age old tradition even today people burn huge statutes of Ravan on this day)

Just a feed to your soul today – Burn the Ravan inside you then burning things outside…The world will gradually be in peace once you find peace for yourself

Dassera 2K18

Happy and prosperous Dassera to all of you!!!

Mornings

Well, mornings like this one with nature and it’s so many gifts is far beyond perfect!!!

Sundays are all reserved for stress bursting, for all weekend chores, for that one lunch with your favorites, for that one movie to be seen or for cleaning up that desk which is piling up with papers… But…But… But… Do you really spend your sunday rightly as planned… Or just laze on the bed till the sun rises up on your head and wakes you up with its fierce rays peeping from window!!!??

Today let us just promise ourselves to spend the sunday to recharge our mental batteries for the new challenging week waiting to cram us with its twists and turns!!! So the question popping up will be how???

  • May be by just getting up early to spend some time with the chirping birds holding hot cup of tea and enjoying the cool silent breeze kissing your cheeks
  • May be simply clearing off the clutter on your study table to start all fresh, preparing new goals for the new week…
  • Or may be (my favorite) visiting a friend or relative whom you did miss but couldn’t even call up and have a word
  • May be you can cook something delicious for your breakfast…
  • Or writers can just sit down to pen all the thoughts that were waiting to be put on paper
  • Photographers can just walk out to click a few pics of the busy streets or those street dogs digging their nose in something..

Ohh!!! Sunday has just so much to be done… And I wish there could be 2 Sundays a week… My entire to-be done list will be completed

What are your ideas about sunday, do let me know in comments may be I get a new interesting one in my list!!😊

Window scenes

Mornings to wake up… With such a good morning chirping is just wonderful!!!

Well, it’s small things that can make your day if you have the right vision to enjoy every moment!!

See everything in such a way that even the worst seems perfectly best, because it’s your perception that decides your reaction and reaction decide your destiny!!!

Happy morning

Bappa… Evda aik na….!!!

With all Ganesha going back to their homes here’s a small request placed!!!

Sister like brother!

Something off the track was on my mind today!! Somehow I just couldn’t figure out what was going back there in that mystery box of my head which was making me feel so very uneasy! And there went a light straight throwing my attention that its time to take my pen and write down something!! To boost my creativity and to get lost in the world of words!!!

But the next thought was on what should I write! And next bulb that glows up is “Rakhi” Yeah! Raksha Bandhan one of the super favorite festival of siblings who fight all day long… who scream out like hell on each other even if a useless gets misplaced, who will snatch each others ice cream, who will leak out secrets and yet again have a privilege to be each others secret box!! A festival to celebrate the bond of Brother-Sister relationship!!

Its weird right, the sister with whom that mischievous brother would have all sorts of fights and arguments is the one who cries the most the day she gets wedded off! Well for sisters too, goes the same story, a scratch on her brother’s knee and she will create an entire havoc out there with all huge tears and extra care and pampering!!

For me, Raksha Bandhan never had an special attraction (being two sisters). But as and when we grew up it did catch my eye! The time my younger sis comes and ties Rakhi and asks me what I have got for her on Raksha Bandhan are all part of the beautiful school memories!!

Being brought up, not less than a son, we were as such never depended on anyone for fulfilling our wishes or for protecting us! Rather what highlights now is, my darling siso can actually screw up anyone for even pinpointing at me, not less then that typical brother who has got so much of possessiveness and love!

So this one is for all those sisters who have been like brothers! Protecting your siblings from slightest of the hardships! and of Course specially for my Darling – Samu

You indeed inspire me to the fullest! From the early morning fights of why you wore my shirt!?” to the night time “Are you gonna help me with pulling my blanket or should I sleep without it” you just are a package of energy which makes me myself!

Even after long fights where we actually sit with our backs across, the minute I need you even with that cranky tone you will be the first one to lend your helping hand! Be it a bad day or that one smile which you extra had, it has to first be “gossiped” in and out in us…. Be it Mom calling or be it friends when its each others secret that are about to unveil we both can actually forget the world!

My dearest darling babie – You might not know this, but then yeah without your presence the house actually swallows me raw! You being the neatest person in our room of two and being the one who loves things kept in place and I being the opposite our childhood just grew….and school bags turned to college sacks and laptop bags!!

Things which still remain same are every morning we still get up with bucket of complaints and every night we still sleep with “you know what happened today” stories!!

Thank you Maa-Papa…for gifting me a lifetime “cartoon”, photogenic artist, a beauty with lots of brains, my late night chat box, my first time recipe taster, my best critics, my dancer, my makeup artist, my gossip queen…. And the list can go on….!!!

You choose!!!

Choice is yours… Your future is something what you create by the choices you make…

Basically you constantly keep making choosing things from the variety of options available infront of you…
Few choices are simple and don’t bother much… Like wearing black or white… Like a e-book or crosswords’ copy…like high heels or flats!!! It doesn’t matter even if you flip a coin and decide when it comes to such decisions… But every thing can not be decided so haphazardly and in such lousy way… Few decisions need to be taken wisely… Few choices must be made after a deep study as to how will the selection of option throw an impact on your life…

“Because life is a canvas… A plain white sheet where if you throw a colur once.. Somehow in some manner it will be a part of your final picture, you might hide it with a darker shade for your satisfaction that its not seen… But its visible”

So choice is yours… To make or to break… Both are in your hands… Both are dependent on your actions!!!
Choose wisely… Your friends, your career, your lifestyle, your habits… Because it is creating you… It is making a impression of what you are…!!!!
