Will miss the perks WICASA gave me!

Few experiences are memorable – for simple reason being that they have huge stories behind them. Well, this was one such experience of life to me!

Pune WICASA – I wasn’t elected formally but then yes I was happy to receive a whole-hearted welcome from entire team! A year full of learning and overfilled with good bad experiences – some teaching me life time lessons and some giving life time memories!

Entire tenure was full of one concept which I strongly believe – NETWORKING! The one great thing that WICASA taught me was to market your ideas, to sell your thoughts, to gather reviews – basically a year-long GMCS program kinda thing (CA Students can relate to this better!!)

Going from person to person – Learnt a many things from many every one – Anjor taught me to be a good decision maker, something like one decided always followed sort of rule! Hemangi taught me to create rather than simply imitate! Sairaj – this man for sure has taught me to connect better and use those connections effectively. Dhanajay – to continue till the end if you dare to start something new, Raj – he always worked silently, well focused on his allotted area of work!

Rajesh Sir – This person has a really optimistic way to live life! For every new event we thought of announcing, be it the most complex situation his cool reaction would be like – “Aish, karde announce, ho jaega manage! Well calculated in risk and rewards! And yes! Something I have been following like a practice was – Life can work amazingly well on Excel Sheet!!!!!

The entire branch staff from Deepak sir to Reshma Ma’am, Swati ma’am to Shwetali Ma’am, Swapnil dada, Manoj dada, Vinayak Dada, Pinto Kaka and kaku – the best ever people to support you – be it a late night extra hours working or Sunday which was ruined for our event! They never made excuses for unavailability!

Yes! for sure all of this will be missed! The extra love and care from branch, all those lazy daisy hours at Branch which at times made me feel like it was my second home, those cranky faces for reimbursements, all those shared tiffins and kaka’s coffee!

Though the love and respect always pertains the days will be missed!!

Looking forward for all help and support to the new committee! Guys, enjoy your tenure, the more you add in students’ welfare the double is added in your personality at individual level!

Speaking about Goa it was just a stress buster treat to eyes after the heavy schedules of study! Ofcourse every trip is complete with family, few people were missed to the core!

The journey from Pune Junction to Madgaon,Goa was all a package of exchanging formal handshakes and a few faking extra happy smiles with eagerness of what will be next 3 days of Goa be like… Finally dropping down all our luggage at Madgoan Station lifted the friendly wave in all of us!!

Dyankala!

The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who actually do that!!

In today’s run of life….where each of us just wanna learn, earn, save, invest, expand and still stop not, I was lucky enough to come across a unique foundation – Dyankala Sanvardhini Sanstha!

If I had to describe it in few lines, it would be like – Found by the women, for the women (rather girls and boys!!)  and of the women!! Here from the helpers to the founders all were the ones, whom the society often points as – Bicharri akeli naari or something like “girls cannot move milestones all alone, they need men”….

Dyankala Sanstha – basically a school for the children who do not have a very strong financial back ground to spend that handsome amount and get enrolled in hi-tech schools!!! Found by few ladies who had a constant burning desire to educate the society – WITHOUT ANY SORT OF GRANT!!! These ladies along with managing their family responsibilities took up this noble task and continued even at the hardest times. Investing hard earned money in charity is actually something HUGE!!  And they made this huge seem so simple to the world.

Working with same enthusiasm and energy was something which was and is still worth watching! The way these young old ladies come and plan for students, the way they run like school girls through the stairs, that spark to serve the society is just amazing!!!

Along with my principal (Sir) I visited the premises for a meeting regarding audit which was just done, as soon as we entered, Kolatkar Maam with her white hair, neatly tucked saree welcomed us with that  bright smile saying “Welcome, this is like my second home, I enjoy being here and working for them. Entering  the meeting room, we sat around with all ladies, and there enters a old lady in her 80’s who needed no support, loud in voice, and full of confidence!!

Radha Maam, Kogekar Maam, Shilpa Maam, Kusum Maam, the teachers, the co-staff everyone was working for the betterment of society. They devoted their time, money and energy to the foundation. Post meeting they had a discussion, in which one of them expressed that somehow she could manage to collect a donation of Rs 5000/-, and the way everyone rejoiced was like they actually were benefited personally. And looking at this, I actually felt like in some small way I would love to be a help, and extended saying, Maam In case I can be of any help other then the audits and financial statements, let me know I would feel lucky to donate something!!!

The foundation and its members actually made me believe that “Service to man is service to God”

On a sincere note, using this platform I would like to spread the message – If you cannot donate money, its fine, you have much more than that to donate and make world a better place to live – Donate your time in betterment of society, be a part of such foundations! You need not donate huge amounts, be it your birthday cake which you were gonna  waste throwing on each other’s face can be someone’s source of books for entire year!

Think and create a change!!! It will be worth a living!!

Lost Kids

Have kids of today lost the innocence?? A question discussed by group of doctors in their monthly meet made me think a lot!!! My point of view for this question was bit clumpsy and ambiguous, what I feel is kids of today probably born after 2006 or say 2007, haven’t lost their innocence but have matured way earlier. They have become more aggressive, violent, impatient etc. I am not taking out negative aspects but these are few qualities randomly found in the upcoming generation (though I don’t fall in an elderly generation but lucky to be kid of 90’s).

Reasons for losing their innocence and maturing earlier is probably extra information…extra exposure to knowledge!! You might be like, Hey Aisha, how can knowledge be harmful?? But to face the fact excess of anything can be harmful, everything in life has its appropriate timing and if and only if this principle is followed then things fall rightly in right place.

So what is going wrong nowadays??

The excess use of “Smart Technology” to make the generation smarter!!! Let kids enjoy their childhood, let them collect memories of falling on sand, crying for chocolates, secretly planning against elder brother/sister, playing in mud, littering the house with craft papers then simply giving them a phone or tablet and downloading games. The games played in open air will teach them practical situations. No doubt there might be some benefits of this newly trending “Smart Technology” but it for sure has more drawbacks!!!

Getting back to why I had an clumsy answer to the newly arising question was – Though kids are getting hampered the reason for their untimely maturity is the ones who say we care for our children more then our ownselves “the parents”. Accept it or not, this is a fact that no child was born with an tablet or phone or laptops, this was all taught by parents, sometimes in excitement and sometimes just to make the child busy in some other thing because parents have got some office work or and household get together.

Its time for parents to realize that rather then making extra talented robots for future we need a little extra humanity in humans. We need to teach, the future of tomorrow is not just technology and progress, its something that makes you feel satisfied.

Well the topic can be extended as long as possible!! But can I get your views on this topic as vast as ocean??
