Happy New Year 2K20!

A gift-wrapped box having 12 months… more than 50 weeks and 365 new chances to make better mistakes!!

New year Resolutions! New year Goals! New year – this and new year that!! So many plans on day one and not to anyone’s surprise its hardly 5-6% that stays till the year end! A few might break tomorrow morning – because winter mornings are better in the cozy blanket then the gym!!

What are my new year plans!? Resolutions!? Goals!?

Its as complicated as simplest thing…

But then would love to share the foundation of my plans for myself this here! May be ones without any plans do get one – So 2020 is not only start of new year but also start of new decade!

What I have figured out after being on this planet earth for a more than 2 decades now and seeing the century change from 1900’s to 2000’s!!! (Oh wow! It sounds so matured – which of course is just a fake candid writing – if such term exists for writers!)

Give in your 100% in everything – not only happy things but also things which make you sad! (shocked – but then yeah that’s it!) When you laugh with all your muscles getting stretched and you rolling on the floor why can’t you cry out as loud as you throw out all the discontent!? Why is that only your pillow knows that you cry or the washroom tap hides your weeping sound! Enjoy crying as well! (I know new year – first day – and its so very depressing to speak about the tears stuff! But then come on we can face it right!?) I will be myself this year – I will make myself a better me! I don’t want perfection at first sight but I promise myself to make better mistakes and learn out of it! If I take up a task, I put in the best efforts to complete it in the best possible way I could do that!

And the next and last thing thought is – be the hope! Be human!! Feel for people and not for machines! Drop by drop fills a mighty ocean! And so is the race of humanity – let it start from small efforts and make world a better place to be in!

Rest – goals for the year are always high – be a better professional, exercise daily! Do this and do that! But then that’s on everyone’s list! This was somethings that I found unique on first page of my diary! Do share if you have something happening like this! You never know who gets inspired by you!!

Journey!

Don’t focus on the destination, enjoy the journey!

Having a conversation with millionaire who was in his early 70s, verbal sketch was something like – a wrinkled face with a sparkle and a glow flowing out, attire he worn was perfect for a business class meeting (though he was retired man), head covered with dove white silky hair (as if one could play the find-black-hair challenge), hands shivering but still the handshake was firm enough to understand the throw in his personality, he stood all straight without a stick, very meticulously he had a choice about everything – be it what he wore, what he read, what he ate and so on and so forth! Impressed by the way he presented himself to me! I actually looked upon this young-old man to throw light on topics like life, career, future, goals and stuff and initiated the conversation.

And there this man had a crisp to explain me these things – which normally sound as rocket science for teens and a big fat topic for parents to such teens! He just had summarized in words which meant that love what you do! Without the fear of what will be the result. The more you get result oriented, the more mechanical you are. The more you tend to fit yourself in a strict format, the more you happen to be machine. The more you get into stuff of pulling eggs in one basket, higher are the chances to topple and break a few.

He had his view explained right with an array of examples – he asked me to climb the morning in wee morning hours and then notice the way the sky changes it colours from dark night black to beautiful golden orange. The cold breeze that kisses you all the while you push yourself to the top. The silent darkness turning to the chirpy morning. Once you reach the highest point, the journey is over and you arrive to your destination, the view from the top is treat to your eyes because you have seen the canvas of sky with the most beautiful shades, you had felt the chilled morning travel its way through to the first ray of morning. The destination seems better and journey wont tire you even through its longest route if you simply learn to live the process and not the results.

And wow! How impressed I was to acknowledge this thought while recollecting the biggest of my achievements! You too can take it as an assignment! May be while cooking or while on your way back home or while on a walk, think of your biggest heights you reached and you will realize the result gives you satisfaction and sense of completeness but the minute you find yourself smiling acknowledge the memory you just recalled which was a part of the journey you travelled!

Will miss the perks WICASA gave me!

Few experiences are memorable – for simple reason being that they have huge stories behind them. Well, this was one such experience of life to me!

Pune WICASA – I wasn’t elected formally but then yes I was happy to receive a whole-hearted welcome from entire team! A year full of learning and overfilled with good bad experiences – some teaching me life time lessons and some giving life time memories!

Entire tenure was full of one concept which I strongly believe – NETWORKING! The one great thing that WICASA taught me was to market your ideas, to sell your thoughts, to gather reviews – basically a year-long GMCS program kinda thing (CA Students can relate to this better!!)

Going from person to person – Learnt a many things from many every one – Anjor taught me to be a good decision maker, something like one decided always followed sort of rule! Hemangi taught me to create rather than simply imitate! Sairaj – this man for sure has taught me to connect better and use those connections effectively. Dhanajay – to continue till the end if you dare to start something new, Raj – he always worked silently, well focused on his allotted area of work!

Rajesh Sir – This person has a really optimistic way to live life! For every new event we thought of announcing, be it the most complex situation his cool reaction would be like – “Aish, karde announce, ho jaega manage! Well calculated in risk and rewards! And yes! Something I have been following like a practice was – Life can work amazingly well on Excel Sheet!!!!!

The entire branch staff from Deepak sir to Reshma Ma’am, Swati ma’am to Shwetali Ma’am, Swapnil dada, Manoj dada, Vinayak Dada, Pinto Kaka and kaku – the best ever people to support you – be it a late night extra hours working or Sunday which was ruined for our event! They never made excuses for unavailability!

Yes! for sure all of this will be missed! The extra love and care from branch, all those lazy daisy hours at Branch which at times made me feel like it was my second home, those cranky faces for reimbursements, all those shared tiffins and kaka’s coffee!

Though the love and respect always pertains the days will be missed!!

Looking forward for all help and support to the new committee! Guys, enjoy your tenure, the more you add in students’ welfare the double is added in your personality at individual level!

Angarki Chaturthi!

This was a very innocent question I asked my Maa every single time from the time I started fasting on Chaturthi! – “Maa, why is it called Angarki Chaturthi and what is so special about it?” And she would reply when chaturthi falls on Tuesday it is Angarki!

Finally after nearly 7-8 years of Chaturthi I come to know the entire story of Angarki Chaturthi!

So Angarak literally means “red like burned coal”

So Angarak was son of Mother Earth and Rishi Bhardwaj who was great devotee of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha was impressed by Anagarak’s devotion and he asked him to express a wish which Ganesha could accomplish!

Angarak promptly replied – that he wanted his name to be associated with Bappa forever, and there it goes Ganesha granted him a wish that every chaturthi that falls on Tuesday will be named as Angarki Chaturthi

So to all the Bappa fans – Happy Angarki!

Merry Christmas!

It is that part of the year where I miss my school days! Being in an convent school where we had sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers and friends – it was a perfect family at school. Today after nearly 6 years that schooling is done I do miss that “Christmas play” , The Santa, that crib decoration competition, every year’s birth story of Baby Jesus! Oh My God those carols and jingles were boring at that time but now even when I accidentally hear one of them it makes me feel so blessed being part of Stella Maris High School!

And yeah! It would be most wonderful gift of Santa if we could have a get-together – a reunion of school friends in those school premises with all those teachers who once pulled our ears and made us what we are today!

Christmas – is thanksgiving was what one of my teacher said is school, saying thank you does not change the scenario but it does make the person feel special and recognized!

So this Christmas I heartily thank all those school mates, the teaching as well as non teaching staff and each and every person who made school life a wonderful memory for lifetime!!

Imagica!

A wonderful day at Adlabs Imagica – It was truly beyond imagination!! The fun, the thrill and everything was so damn exciting!!! It was truly one of its kind experience with the most amazing people (a group of around 80-85 people from all ages!)…

Sundays like these can’t just be got over so easily!! One more thing – Hats off to all the engineers and master minds behind the construction of unimaginable destination of enjoyment – IMAGICA!!

Personally, I enjoyed the Deep Space ride, The Rajasauraus, The Scream Ride and The Nitro one!! I could feel that fear and thrill both dancing through my stomach to my eyes which met the enthusiastic air through my huge screams!!!

Diwali!!!

Households light dozens of little clay oil lamps, called diyas, to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

The word “Diwali,” or “Deepawali” in Sanskrit, means “a row of lamps” in Sanskrit.

So in literal sense Diwali means “Festival of Diyas” and not festival of crackers!!!

This diwali let us all pledge to make the beautiful festival meaningful!!!

Let us try making an attempt to light someone’s life, let us try wiping off few bad habits in our own selves, let us just initiate a change and let us hold the torch of love and peace !!!!

Let us pledge that we will make this festival memorable than simply blowing it off in smoke and pollution!!!!!

Be the change!!!! Start a change

Say no to crackers!! Say no to pollution!!
