Corona and Doctors!!!!

He was travelling back to India nearly after some 18 months! He was going to see his ailing mom, his darling wife and recently graduated sister after so many days, weeks and months. There on the airport waiting in the queue to get the primary check-up done which was mandatory for every international flight passenger due to recent epidemic outbreak of CORONA, he just happened to sneeze and not to his surprise this time his sneeze accompanied him with all eyes looking at him as if he was a culprit in the town, there was no bless-you after the sneeze anymore! People just shifted apart from him, his own family members who were waiting for him were not so eager anymore and insisted on to see the hospitals before. People had concerns of their kids, their families back at home, their future, their health and the list continue! No one wanted this man even in a meter’s radius!

The only person who came and touched was a simple masked doctor, well he too had a wife waiting at home for the night’s dinner, his children waiting to share the day’s stories with him, parents who looked up to him as their support to old age. He too was concerned about his health but still he stepped forward to take this man to a cabin where detailed checks were to be done!
Why this incidence!!??

We see fluent attacks on doctors happening all round the country, there are huge break outs done at their dispensaries or hospitals just because of a natural death of their closed one! Doctors are not GOD!! They are just a medium through which we have hopes to get cured well, through which we see a better and easy lifestyle, they do all they can to save a life but it isn’t magic – that a doctor touches a person and woohoo!! All is done right!!
They are humans, it is a fact that sometimes there are errors and, in their profession, a slightest error costs a life and so they are normally people who are much sincere and committed to their profession! All I want to convey to all of you reading this is – they too have a family back where they are needed, they have never backed out on their responsibility – be it midnights or be it wee-mornings! They have sacrificed their personal lives as well for the betterment of the society! So, as a human being let us be a little sensitive as well and thank them for all they have done and will be doing! Respect doctors – because if they fall short in committing their time and sincerity towards us, epidemics like Corona, Swine flu will be more of disasters for entire human race!!

Proud to be a daughter of two highly committed doctors and also associated with number of doctors directly or indirectly!! Thank you for all your efforts and honest advices which saved 100s of lives till now!!

Force!

If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If broken by an inside force, life begins. Great things always begin from the inside.”

A wonderful quote read at one of our client’s premises! The audit place is usually seen as pressure and deadlines with an expectation to have a highly active mind to catch up all the discrepancies and hidden transactions of all the entire year! So here normally I am on a mood of complete professionalism where the usual chatter box of my own self is turned to on to mute mode and mind is all vigilant!

Gazing around the premises to take a rough idea of the nature of business, I came across this inspiring quote. It just took my attention away, as it had so much to be thought on!

Forces inside you can make you a complete new person – kind of ready to face the world! It can shape you and sharpen you! It had multiple meanings – and I could just not stop thinking ahead on every front! Being as simple as – People may scream that it is high time for you to continue and suggest to give up, circumstances may shout where you feel like that is all you can do but one single thought from your heart whispering to you in the lowest voice possible can get you new rays of hope. Smiling through all once if you trust that inner voice you might as well have a cake walk through all backbreaking situations!

Just sit back and think on this quote and start a journey of self-motivation!

Smile and spread smiles!!!

Dad and daughters (1)

This is may be a voice of every small girl to her dad (Indian middle-class family who has his job from morning 8 to say something 6 in the evening)
Papa, today I had a holiday and was waiting for this day from past one week, so that I could tell you my school stories, so that I could make your hair like Justin Bieber, so that I could tie two ponies and put my favourite nail colour on your nails!! I was planning about the day with you so that I could create some memories in my childhood.
Baba, you know I do miss you a lot, When I get up you are already on your way to office, running with your tiffin and you just come back after reaching the door to kiss me a good day to school. Starting the day with your beautiful smile I get ready for my school, dreaming of a day that one day atleast your office goes on strike so that you could leave me to school, so that we could have so many talks and I could tell you how bitterly I miss your hugs and how badly I need you! Back then, when you come home, I am at my dance classes and by the time I come home you are either hooked in to some important presentation for the next day or planning about the monthly budget or may be simply chalking out the expenses of house!! Without disturbing you I just observe you or probably sometimes come and help you with my so called extra fast mathematics additions which you give me so that I don’t start with my chatter box 😉😉!!
The time being so bad it just flies off when you are at home!!
So today, I have decided that the day is ours! I will tell you all the fairy tales I watch on Disney, today I will teach you how to write and how to draw, you know I even learnt to paint a little, Papa, we will also go shopping , I wanna get a new pair of socks for you because yesterday I did notice you hiding your leg behind the chair because of the torn patch on the socks! I wanna show you all the stars I got for neat writing, I wanna spend a morning with you watching the sun touch the sky, I wanna walk a mile with you and see the sun setting, I wanna show you the moon plays hide and seek with me through my bedroom window!
Papa, I was really happy today, because I had a holiday and was gonna spend the entire day at home till the time your phone rang and you had an emergency meeting scheduled in an hour!
I was upset! I was about to cry and the minute you said I have promised the day with my princess, let the meeting be postponed I just ran and hugged you! I had my world with me! I had the most amazing memory of my childhood crafted today!!

(To all the dearest fathers!!! Spend more and more time with your daughters, because tomorrow when you might have time your daughter might have been wedded off!! And you spend hours with all the childhood photos where you were missing due to some important meeting, a business tour or some other upcoming project!!)

Luckiest daughters ever!!!! Papa love you alot

Bappa Morya….!!!

One of the most awaited festival of entire Maharashtra – Ganesh Chaturthi!!!

Where Lord Ganesha is welcomed with great respect, joy and love to everyone’s home!! Staying with us for 10 days, he makes the atmosphere vibrate in energy – all to a different level!!

If Mumbai is known for the huge idols touching the sky from where the almighty showers his lovely blessings!!! We Punekars – rather proud Punekar welcome Bappa in grandeur of the traditional Dhol-Tasha, lezim the colorful rangolis and even the air sings along with us – Ganpati Bappa Morya Mangal Murthi Morya!!!

Today let us just get briefed that why and how is Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrated?

The first section of the Mahabharata states that it was Ganesha who wrote down the text to Vyasa’s dictation. Ganesha is said to have agreed to write it only if Vyasa never paused in his recitation. Vyasa agrees on condition that Ganesha takes the time to understand what was said before writing it down.

So, Ganesha began to write Mahabharata along with Ved Vyasa. They wrote Mahabharata in 10 days without taking a pause. They didn’t eat/drink anything during these 10 days. Due to this, Ganesha was dehydrated.

So, a layer of clay(mitti) was applied all over his body. Then he was asked to get in river and cool down.(Something similar to Ganesh Visarjan)

And this is why we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi and immerse Ganeshji in water.

How is it celebrated?

Lord Ganesha – believed to be the remover of obstacles (Vighnaharta), and the god of intellect and wisdom (Buddhi Devta).

Worshipped by nearly all castes and all around the globe – Japan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc. Ganesha being everyone’s favorite be it the Bollywood celebrities or the common Man – I am sure everyone in our childhood must have gone crazy for the way the decorations will be done, who will get Bappa home, who will be the one performing the first aarti etc. The grand celebration starts with the installation of Ganesh idols in colorfully decorated temporary made structures – one which is made at our homes – where creativity just flows at peak – Bappa sitting on mountain type structure, at times on bed of flowers etc.  Followed by the rituals – Pranapratishhtha – the process of infusing the deity into a murti or idol, Shhodashopachara – 16 forms of paying tribute to Ganesha,

At the time of the ritual coconut, jaggery, modaks, durva i.e. blades of grass and hibiscus flowers (His favorite flowers was what mom always told me from childhood) are offered and throughout the ceremonial occasion several hymns echoes down the mind of devotees bringing in a divine peace.

During the 10 days – if in case you have ever been part of the competitions that are held in societies, you will surely recall all those fancy dress where one becomes doctor, the other Bhaji wali and its all fun and enjoyment. 10 days just fly off in the air of happiness!!

On the last day, immersion of the statues in the ocean, or other bodies of water, and their subsequent destruction serves as a reminder of this belief. (These are traditionally known as Uttarpuja – Puja after which the idol could be shifted after it’s infusion, Ganpati Visarjan – immersion of the Idol in the river.)

Lastly. I would like to make an appeal – the tradition of immersing Bappa in river bodies was not a harm as the idols made then were of clay, mud and colurs were all natural and hence were no harm to the water animals! But in todays times the idols are all made of non-degradable material which harms the water diversity and endangers their living. Start a change from yourself immerse your “Ladka Bappa” in the artificial pools created by the local authorities.

(I am really proud that even though I was brought up in a traditional family where traditions are strictly followed as they were, on understanding the need to change our thoughts, we have been practicing Ganesh Visarjan in a self-made water tank sort of structure from past 3 years and will be continuing the same.)

Dyankala!

The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who actually do that!!

In today’s run of life….where each of us just wanna learn, earn, save, invest, expand and still stop not, I was lucky enough to come across a unique foundation – Dyankala Sanvardhini Sanstha!

If I had to describe it in few lines, it would be like – Found by the women, for the women (rather girls and boys!!)  and of the women!! Here from the helpers to the founders all were the ones, whom the society often points as – Bicharri akeli naari or something like “girls cannot move milestones all alone, they need men”….

Dyankala Sanstha – basically a school for the children who do not have a very strong financial back ground to spend that handsome amount and get enrolled in hi-tech schools!!! Found by few ladies who had a constant burning desire to educate the society – WITHOUT ANY SORT OF GRANT!!! These ladies along with managing their family responsibilities took up this noble task and continued even at the hardest times. Investing hard earned money in charity is actually something HUGE!!  And they made this huge seem so simple to the world.

Working with same enthusiasm and energy was something which was and is still worth watching! The way these young old ladies come and plan for students, the way they run like school girls through the stairs, that spark to serve the society is just amazing!!!

Along with my principal (Sir) I visited the premises for a meeting regarding audit which was just done, as soon as we entered, Kolatkar Maam with her white hair, neatly tucked saree welcomed us with that  bright smile saying “Welcome, this is like my second home, I enjoy being here and working for them. Entering  the meeting room, we sat around with all ladies, and there enters a old lady in her 80’s who needed no support, loud in voice, and full of confidence!!

Radha Maam, Kogekar Maam, Shilpa Maam, Kusum Maam, the teachers, the co-staff everyone was working for the betterment of society. They devoted their time, money and energy to the foundation. Post meeting they had a discussion, in which one of them expressed that somehow she could manage to collect a donation of Rs 5000/-, and the way everyone rejoiced was like they actually were benefited personally. And looking at this, I actually felt like in some small way I would love to be a help, and extended saying, Maam In case I can be of any help other then the audits and financial statements, let me know I would feel lucky to donate something!!!

The foundation and its members actually made me believe that “Service to man is service to God”

On a sincere note, using this platform I would like to spread the message – If you cannot donate money, its fine, you have much more than that to donate and make world a better place to live – Donate your time in betterment of society, be a part of such foundations! You need not donate huge amounts, be it your birthday cake which you were gonna  waste throwing on each other’s face can be someone’s source of books for entire year!

Think and create a change!!! It will be worth a living!!

Time – Best Teacher

Teacher’s day,

Well, today scrolling down on my feed page, I just came across a more interesting definition of “Teacher”  -and that was time!! Giving it thought actually dragged me to my laptop and blog something for the day!!

Thoughts just gushed after reading that line which simply read as “Happy Teachers Day” – Time

There were memories which took me back to childhood, when time taught me to get up by myself every time I fell running on that playground!

Then came the first ever time that I left dad’s little finger and had to face the world all by myself.

That first time I raised my voice against the injustice I saw in bus – Time taught me to be outspoken!

Then were the college days, when time taught me that nothing comes served in your plate, to get things one needs to walk out, turn and face some tussles, and there you get what you worked for!

Then I entered Chartered Accountancy and here Time finally became the ultimate teacher (May-November games had its own way to teach me struggle and work hard consistently)

Time taught me that wait and watch is only a myth – It is all about do and deserve!!

Time taught me that you can’t get aside by working hard for a day – you need to be consistent to give in your 100% and then expect that your result “CAN” be positive!

During articleship – time taught me to be patient enough to hear more and speak less! To learn more and preach less! To be a silent observer and reply only when asked!

Time taught me that you never get free time! Your priorities decide when you are free!!

Time taught me that once gone it never comes back!! Live each moment to its fullest, enjoy every minute as it passes by, because it slips off your hand in a way that just undone!! There is no Control+Z option available so simply create memories – good memories and Control+S!!!

Happy Teacher’s Day – To a common teacher for each and every person, of each and every age group!!!

TIME – BEST TEACHER OF ALL TIMES!!!!

Sister like brother!

Something off the track was on my mind today!! Somehow I just couldn’t figure out what was going back there in that mystery box of my head which was making me feel so very uneasy! And there went a light straight throwing my attention that its time to take my pen and write down something!! To boost my creativity and to get lost in the world of words!!!

But the next thought was on what should I write! And next bulb that glows up is “Rakhi” Yeah! Raksha Bandhan one of the super favorite festival of siblings who fight all day long… who scream out like hell on each other even if a useless gets misplaced, who will snatch each others ice cream, who will leak out secrets and yet again have a privilege to be each others secret box!! A festival to celebrate the bond of Brother-Sister relationship!!

Its weird right, the sister with whom that mischievous brother would have all sorts of fights and arguments is the one who cries the most the day she gets wedded off! Well for sisters too, goes the same story, a scratch on her brother’s knee and she will create an entire havoc out there with all huge tears and extra care and pampering!!

For me, Raksha Bandhan never had an special attraction (being two sisters). But as and when we grew up it did catch my eye! The time my younger sis comes and ties Rakhi and asks me what I have got for her on Raksha Bandhan are all part of the beautiful school memories!!

Being brought up, not less than a son, we were as such never depended on anyone for fulfilling our wishes or for protecting us! Rather what highlights now is, my darling siso can actually screw up anyone for even pinpointing at me, not less then that typical brother who has got so much of possessiveness and love!

So this one is for all those sisters who have been like brothers! Protecting your siblings from slightest of the hardships! and of Course specially for my Darling – Samu

You indeed inspire me to the fullest! From the early morning fights of why you wore my shirt!?” to the night time “Are you gonna help me with pulling my blanket or should I sleep without it” you just are a package of energy which makes me myself!

Even after long fights where we actually sit with our backs across, the minute I need you even with that cranky tone you will be the first one to lend your helping hand! Be it a bad day or that one smile which you extra had, it has to first be “gossiped” in and out in us…. Be it Mom calling or be it friends when its each others secret that are about to unveil we both can actually forget the world!

My dearest darling babie – You might not know this, but then yeah without your presence the house actually swallows me raw! You being the neatest person in our room of two and being the one who loves things kept in place and I being the opposite our childhood just grew….and school bags turned to college sacks and laptop bags!!

Things which still remain same are every morning we still get up with bucket of complaints and every night we still sleep with “you know what happened today” stories!!

Thank you Maa-Papa…for gifting me a lifetime “cartoon”, photogenic artist, a beauty with lots of brains, my late night chat box, my first time recipe taster, my best critics, my dancer, my makeup artist, my gossip queen…. And the list can go on….!!!

It was indeed a session with lit me with things I knew but were still lost in the run of competition and so called hectic schedule!!!!

Coming back soon with all the thoughtful thoughts I unfurled. Wait there for Part 2 of the same which will indeed enlighten you as well…. Till then Smile and spread smiles!!!!

Get up and work!!!

It was a failure….!!! A bad failure again and she was left broken…. Shattered down in pieces… Complete depression as to what next… Because the result of course mattered a lot… And was like a gate pass to her dreams… CA!!! And multiple attempts were hand in hand… Was what she knew… But then not again was what her every drop of sweat she shed studying day in and out was screaming!!! But then that was it… The results were out and it was “FAIL
She did start doubting herself and abilities now… Can I do this? Will it be possible? Were the 1000 questions crowding in her mind… Hitting nails on her future plans, the pain of which could be seen flowing through her eyes!! In entire darkness, there comes a fairy… A fairy friend… “Figgy” and the time she wasn’t able to trust herself, this beautiful fairy says… Get up girl, you can do it.. Not because of any other reasons other then the fact – YOU HAVE TO DO IT!!! You chose the dream… You chose the path knowing that it was tough… Because you knew you could do it, because you knew you are that capable… Not everyone comes here, if you dared to step into this…. Just go and complete it… Just go and give it your best…

That fairy didn’t speak a word of sympathy… She didn’t say that “may be hard luck this time… ” All she said was… Girl, get up and put in efforts, somewhere somehow your dedication was 99% and failure was because you lacked 1% to give in your 100%!!! So don’t shed those tears… Perspire and rise up…

That fairy didn’t wipe her tears… All she said was “tears symbolize that you accept you fell short of efforts… So go and give in again… ”

That fairy didn’t even ask her to take a break for all her depression, she just said… Life played on you… Now its your turn to play back… You were thrown right on your face…
(where accept parents no one stood back with you) so now you have to throw back and prove… You are not a FAILURE. Its matter of your hardwork… Consistent hardwork… Your sacrifices…

You feel insecure about friends leaving you if you are not in contact, then remember people who leave are not permanent and people who are permanent never leave…

You feel insecure about your love cheating, then that’s not love because love binds hearts forever… And it promotes each others dream!!!

Right now… All you need is your career… Your attempt…your goal… Cz may be you will get out of depression in a day or two… But there your dad is still struggling hard to see his daughter’s failure… He still silently cries late nights and prays for your success… There your Mom still quietly adds that extra almond in your breakfast saying this will help you in good memory and you will write your papers well next time…

They both just wanna see you successful, Girl!!!!
Saying this… the fairy sums it up as “Start studying and stop pretending” FOCUS and the next result should be exactly what you want!!!
PASS

The Girl was lucky enough to get that fairy in her life… And boost her confidence!!!

Guys this one is for you…. A fairy for u…. If this was a attempt where you gave efforts and still had to accept a failure… Accept your mistakes and give it another try… Sit with your books… Avoid social media… Learn write read use any technique suitable for you… Just go and give the attempt, but this time like a warrior… You are wounded with an failure and in hindi it is said “Ghayal sher jyada khatarnak hota h” Go and give your 100% the result is waiting…. The prefix of CA to your name will be your reward!!!

Just give in your 100%, not a little less nor a little more!!!

(dedicated to a friend who’s been source of motivation to me… My Fairy…. Love u Figgy… Thank you… And I swear this time it will be PASS)
