Amico!

Few stories just touch your life, few incidences make a home in your heart and never leave that place, a few moments just pass by and we don’t even realize! And the people behind these memories gradually become the MAINS in life – they become the permanent ones!

It was in grade 5 that these three girls met, gelled up and now were inseparable besties! From sharing their tiffin to sharing the first crushes they have even cried nights together on their first heart breaks! Both had a different mindset, a distinctive idea about life and life goals but still neither of the two took smallest decisions without each other! But then this blog happens to just describe one of two darlings – because it is her day today!

Samy, (my future wedding dress designer!!) a girl with a thousand dreams in her eyes, she holds a spark which can illuminate the lives of her loved ones and even burn out the one who thinks ill about her bestie (that’s me!). Our meet was destined at school – Stella Maris High School, where we gelled up as “good friends” with those lunch time talks and assignments. Later, this good friend bond was taken to a next level during the tuition classes. All this happened, when we chose walking with our bicycles then to riding them home so that we could steal some extra time and complete our talks about everything and anything, when we saved our pocket money to treat our choosy tongue with paani-puri, when we went for extra classes so that we could enjoy during the breaks. Life was fun then. It was only about school to home to tuitions to back home again. Never did we thought much about the economic depression of India neither did the ruling parties ever affect us! With farewell in school everyone was lost, people whom we knew for nearly 12 years were now just known strangers. A few stayed back for a year or so and they too were lost – but these girls are still with me. It’s about 18 years and we proudly celebrate every day as a friendship day! It isn’t that we meet up daily or we hangout every weekend. At times it happens that for months we don’t see each other, but the bond remains the same!

Samy, you have really been the best accident of my life! The best “jhagdalu-friend”, the best dumbo, the best melo-drama queen, the typical Punekar-foodie who is ever hungry, the tulsi baug to hong-kong lane wali “i-don’t-bargain” girl, my secret box, my gossip girl whose every call starts – Ae Aishe, tula mahiti ka kay zala, my designer, angry bird and the words might fall short to describe the versatility in this girls behaviour, rather in simple words her mood swings!

Samy, you indeed mean a lot to me (and even Cee). I know tu thoda irritating ahes! But it is okay, we are fine with it! Have a wonderful year ahead darling. Stay blessed and keep smiling because I have enough problems and always new mess to be solved by you!

HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY SAMY!!

Golden Jubilee

That day of the year where there are thousand plans made and rejected to make the day super special! Yeah, it is Dad’s Birthday!

So my 50 year young man has added one more year with memories of adventures, fitness, smiles inspiration, consistency, joys and the list goes on and on!

You are my favorite – Not because my every need is fulfilled by you! But because of ample reasons like (These are just a few reasons out of the list which will never find its end)

Because my every tear is wiped off and replaced by thousand smiles

Because my every problem finds a solution in the treasure of your experiences

For the way you stand with me in my every blunder

For being my savior when mumma is all set to set me fire!

For being the only hope I look upto when things fall apart

For being my early morning tea partner

For the ice creams in chilly winters which heats up Mumma’s temper

For being the ever green inspiration to work hard

For being our brother, friend, the teddy bear we literally trouble out like hell

For being our Make-up Model

For all those Sundays filled with “Chowpaty Bhel”

For being my student (learning ABCD and Twinkle Twinkle after reading books on entire anatomy and physiology!)

For being my partner in wee morning study hours

Papa, you are truly a king not only for the way that you have treated your daughters is no less than princesses! But for the royalty you teach us in our speech and actions! For the humanity you instilled in us from childhood, for the values and virtues that were inculcated in us to make us a better human being.

Whatever we stand and proudly achieve each day it is because of you and Maa! Thank you for being such a huge support system which has seen us break, cry, step back but has always motivated us to fight back with an attitude that yes, we can do it! Thank you for making us hungry for success and still being balanced if our hard work failed!

The day marks a really special one for all of us!! Wishing you very Happy Birthday. May the year ahead be filled with joys, success, smiles, happiness, prosperity, love and of course good health. May the year be as active as your cycle and unstoppable like you!

Let things happen!

Do you expect in life? At times from your partner, from your colleague, from a friend, from your parents, from your siblings or anyone whom you meet or at times even from the people whom you will be meeting and after all such expectations you unknowingly even start creating a picture of how you want things to happen! Does that happen? Of course, it does happen, because that is the normal human tendency to start creating thoughts of how one wants a meeting to happen, a deal to take place or a (for girls specially) how a surprise date must look like!! And it is yet again the same human tendency, which starts criticizing even at the best of the provisions made or best of arrangements done just because it did not match with the visualization of what one had in mind!!

These are the problems, and you might be like, Esha can we get a solution to this recognized problem of our brains!! So yes!! There is a simple way to get yourself out of the small talks and back biting which probably takes a toll on your health! STOP EXPECTING! Easier said than done! But yeah, one needs to control the mind which becomes a little extra creative when it goes on to expectation mode!

What Screws up in life is the picture in our heads of the way we visualized a thing to happen

Don’t Waste Food!

I love social events and so be it a simple birthday or huge fat wedding, be it a religious one or a normal get-together I will make sure to be present and shake hands with new people enhancing my network. Last Sunday, after the morning break fast at Mama’s place and whole day long cake workshop, the social bee in me took me to “Maheshwari Samaj’s Sankrant Milan (a small function where we had dance competitions, games for ladies followed by dinner).
I would just like to share a very beautiful incidence that happened – After all the performances everyone proceeded to the dinner counters. Every thing seemed normal till the time people started approaching the Used plates counter. It is quite usual that even if you don’t throw food in waste bin at your own homes, when one is in such social gatherings – we simply try tasting every item placed on the counter and throw the ones we did not like much. Same did happen that evening, people started trying on all items and when they were full, the rest of the items in plate were taken to the Used Plate counter to be washed off with the plates!
What was new in this – There were two men (Mr Krishna Saboo and Mr Bang) standing voluntarily near the USED PLATE Counter wearing a smile on their faces informing all those who arrived with food in their plates (which was to be thrown) to get empty plates or else they will eat the leftovers!! Amazing and Hats Off to the efforts taken for an attempt to avoid wastage of food! People had to eat all that they had taken in their plates and that day there was not a single bread which was wasted!
Thankful to the attempt taken by you people. It is truly a lesson of not wasting food, as well as an example of how things can be conveyed in a simple way without any show-off!

(Accept this blog as a token of gratitude on behalf of everyone!)

Mr Krishna Saboo and Mr Bang – a great job done!

Force!

If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If broken by an inside force, life begins. Great things always begin from the inside.”

A wonderful quote read at one of our client’s premises! The audit place is usually seen as pressure and deadlines with an expectation to have a highly active mind to catch up all the discrepancies and hidden transactions of all the entire year! So here normally I am on a mood of complete professionalism where the usual chatter box of my own self is turned to on to mute mode and mind is all vigilant!

Gazing around the premises to take a rough idea of the nature of business, I came across this inspiring quote. It just took my attention away, as it had so much to be thought on!

Forces inside you can make you a complete new person – kind of ready to face the world! It can shape you and sharpen you! It had multiple meanings – and I could just not stop thinking ahead on every front! Being as simple as – People may scream that it is high time for you to continue and suggest to give up, circumstances may shout where you feel like that is all you can do but one single thought from your heart whispering to you in the lowest voice possible can get you new rays of hope. Smiling through all once if you trust that inner voice you might as well have a cake walk through all backbreaking situations!

Just sit back and think on this quote and start a journey of self-motivation!

Smile and spread smiles!!!

Resolutions!

It is something like we promise ourselves to follow it at least a year long, which after a week comes to be like – I will follow it as far as possible and after 15 days happens to be like – may be next year!

But I have heard someone saying – If you speak out your wishes to someone! You develop an unsaid commitment sort of thing. Something like “I need to do this because I have announced it to out” kind of pressure which may help you achieve your targets at times when you do not feel like accomplishing them!

So let us all share a few of them with each other.

Well, everyone must have made a few of them! And I would love to know them for sure! You can ping me on hangouts or Instagram or even leave them down in comments!

Just do it!!

So, everyone one of us is gifted with this beautiful gift of 365 new days and thousands of opportunities rushing in to make your life more beautiful than before!

Wishing everyone loads of smiles, success, joys and happiness this year! With this I would also wish you to have the strength to fight every difficult situation which will be testing you this year!

Well, everyone might have made a few resolutions, if not in black and white atleast you must have thought it for sure! I would just like to add a single line of three words to all of that list of to-do-things or must achieve targets in that list of yours! JUST DO IT!

Yes! If you dared to think of it means you have the potential to do it! Did you write in your goals that you wanna fly like a bird or something like you wanna walk on water? Of course, not right? SO that is it, if you have genuinely written something in your targets for the upcoming year, it means either consciously or sub consciously you know that, yes, I can do this!

So, let the year be like – I will do it! Come what may, even if you feel rejected, down or something like “will it be possible?” let your inner self shout out as loud to you as possible – JUST DO IT!

Because you can do it!

Angarki Chaturthi!

This was a very innocent question I asked my Maa every single time from the time I started fasting on Chaturthi! – “Maa, why is it called Angarki Chaturthi and what is so special about it?” And she would reply when chaturthi falls on Tuesday it is Angarki!

Finally after nearly 7-8 years of Chaturthi I come to know the entire story of Angarki Chaturthi!

So Angarak literally means “red like burned coal”

So Angarak was son of Mother Earth and Rishi Bhardwaj who was great devotee of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha was impressed by Anagarak’s devotion and he asked him to express a wish which Ganesha could accomplish!

Angarak promptly replied – that he wanted his name to be associated with Bappa forever, and there it goes Ganesha granted him a wish that every chaturthi that falls on Tuesday will be named as Angarki Chaturthi

So to all the Bappa fans – Happy Angarki!

Merry Christmas!

It is that part of the year where I miss my school days! Being in an convent school where we had sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers and friends – it was a perfect family at school. Today after nearly 6 years that schooling is done I do miss that “Christmas play” , The Santa, that crib decoration competition, every year’s birth story of Baby Jesus! Oh My God those carols and jingles were boring at that time but now even when I accidentally hear one of them it makes me feel so blessed being part of Stella Maris High School!

And yeah! It would be most wonderful gift of Santa if we could have a get-together – a reunion of school friends in those school premises with all those teachers who once pulled our ears and made us what we are today!

Christmas – is thanksgiving was what one of my teacher said is school, saying thank you does not change the scenario but it does make the person feel special and recognized!

So this Christmas I heartily thank all those school mates, the teaching as well as non teaching staff and each and every person who made school life a wonderful memory for lifetime!!
